This route takes you from the bustling streets of Fukuoka down to the volcanic ash of Kagoshima, and up the surfing coast of Miyazaki. ### Days 1-3: Fukuoka to Nagasaki Start by heading west. Explore the pottery towns of Saga (Arita/Imari) before arriving in Nagasaki. Spend a full day exploring the Peace Park, Glover Garden, and the stunning night views. ### Days 4-5: Kumamoto and the Amakusa Islands Take the ferry from Shimabara to Kumamoto. Explore the majestic Kumamoto Castle, then drive out to the Amakusa Islands for wild dolphin watching and peaceful seaside camping. ### Days 6-7: Kagoshima and Sakurajima Drive south to Kagoshima.
